Power Read

Power Read is Everybody Wins! Iowa’s signature program. Through Power Read, volunteer reading mentors visit a student for one hour each week. The students and volunteer reading mentors spend their time talking, reading aloud one-to-one, and instilling positive attitudes about reading. Volunteers also serve as role models and enhance students’ self-esteem.

Everybody Wins! Iowa has programs in over 30 sites in Ankeny, Des Moines, Indianola, Norwalk, Pella, and Perry at a variety of days and times throughout the week during the school year.

Most of our Power Read programs are over the lunch hour, but we also have programs before and after school to fit with all types of schedules.

Fundraising & Outreach Committees
Everybody Wins! Iowa invites you to join our Fundraising and Outreach Committees. Each committee meets every other month for approximately 60 minutes. The Fundraising Committee explores grant and fundraising opportunities. The Outreach Committee plans different ways to get our name out in the community. Please contact Everybody Wins!
